The flavor of Hawaii with the soul of the blues...
Originally from Hawaii, weaned on Hawaiian music and later drawn to the blues, Jason Arimoto's passion is Blues Ukulele. These eclectic influences come together in his “island blues”--the flavor of Hawaii with the soul of the blues. Dispelling the ukulele's often underestimated musical range, he incorporates both acoustic and electric styles in his playing. As a performer at the 2008 Bean Blossom Blues Festival (Nashville, IN), he showcased the versatility of the ukulele as an electrifying lead blues instrument. Ukulele Underground selected his cover of "Little Wing" as the Best Vocal Performance video of the year. Recently joined by Mark Sakaue (bass) and David Morgenthaler (drums), the JMD trio rocks with a reggae-rock-blues vibe.

Sorry I haven't been in touch recently. Now I am hear to tell you about a gig we have coming up. Hope you can make it. We will be at OnStage Drinks and Grinds, 802 Kapahulu Ave, Friday, Nov. 13 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Welcome my friend, Please excuse us if we already sent this to you, we are getting ready for something HUGE! So stay tuned. The more people coming together and helping spread awareness is more powerful. I started writing Just over FOUR Months ago and it is already a huge success! People from all around the world sending there success story’s to me how I have inspired them in so many ways! It is so wonderful! I am moving forward in telling my story, spreading awareness. Thank you for joining me! You must be a wonderful person to care enough to take your time to spread awareness. I look forward to knowing you. I have triumphed over Domestic Violence. My horrific story is in my blog. Please read and feel free to post it on your website. To help spread awareness. I am almost finished with my book of my life and how I overcame DV thru practicing what I know about the law of attraction. My passion is to teach others how they can do it as well. I have written most of it in my blog on an almost daily basis for the past FOUR months!!! There is a pest that is trying to stop me, and he is a politician Named Bart Mulvihill! Check it out! I suggest starting on the oldest blog so it makes sense and you know who the people are. To find the story of how I came to start writing, look for “THE BIG BANG, My husband tried to kill us both then when he failed, he killed Himself” Or “My Story” It will blow you away! You will find that on my main page. There is a lot more to the story than that. I was abused as a child then it followed me into my relationships as an adult. I HAVE TRIUMPHED OVER DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.
"Ticklin' The Strings" by Sweet Hollywaiians
Amazing Japanese hot string band playing 1920's, 30's, 40's style hawaiian, swing, calypso, blues, italian music and originals, featuring vintage instruments.3 songs with Robert Armstrong and Tony Marcus(from Robert Crumb and His Cheap Suit Serenaders)
"The Sweet Hollywaiians have probably the best feel for this 20's music of any string band working today. They manage the rare feat of sounding relaxed even when their playing is hot, are top notch musicians with tasteful arrangements and a full, rich, warm sound.Plus, they have a nice gamut of tunes, from King Nawahi to Giovanni Vicari to Bobby Leecan. See them live, if you can, for an unforgettable experience. If you can't, buy their Cds!" ~ Terry Zwigoff
J- Hope you're groovin on an inner plane. Just got back from a house concert with Deni Bonet - brilliant violinist. She was part of the Mountain Stage band; I saw her play with Robyn Hitchcock about a dozen years ago. Anyway, she has become infatuated with the ukulele and has join the Ukulele Underground. I told her I knew a guy who could play Lenny and Little Wing on the uke. Impressed, I'd say. Your video will be on her page soon. Cheers, TomX
