  • Bio

Jason Kodie is and continues to be an active musician in the thriving metropolis of Edmonton Alberta Canada, for the past 20 years. He performs with a cast of characters and acts (Allez Ouest, Captain Tractor, and Le Fuzz), and an extensive list of former bands who have either burned out or were forced into early retirement. Among the many chapeaux that he will portent, he has also carved his niche as a sought after accordionist, musical director, and soundscape designer. He once landed a quad - 4 gigs in one day, 2 cities, one town . The release of his first solo record 'a blessed curse', propels his journey as a musician with many hats forward. As for said record, why it was co-produced and engineered by Scott Franchuk (Corb Lund, Old Reliable), the result is a 9 song collection of originals, covers, and instrumentals, featuring some of the finest musicians in town - Chris Smith, Thom Golub, Duke Paetz, Shannon Johnson, Dwayne Hrynkiw, Chris Wynters, Wendy McNeil, and Frank Bessai. It's on itunes. You should buy it and support me for $8.91. Thank you myspace friend, be well

No one has told me, so I don't know, but I have been told I look like a mash of Bruce Hornsby, John Turturro, and Kramer from Seinfeld my mom loves it, my daughters sing it

Bio:

my first solo album- 'a blessed curse' - will be released on October 1st, 2010 at the TransAlta Arts Barns during the final weekend of the francophone music festival Edmonton chante. Thanks in large part to a Rawlco 10k20 grant, the recording took place over a 6 month period in 2009 at Damon studios and Riverdale recorders. Co-produced and engineered by Scott Franchuk (Corb Lund, Old Reliable), the result is a 9 song collection of originals, covers, and instrumentals, featuring some of the finest musicians in town - Chris Smith, Thom Golub, Duke Paetz, Shannon Johnson, Dwayne Hrynkiw, Chris Wynters, Wendy McNeil, and Frank Bessai.
