I have posted a few songs from my album, Solo Trio. It's my take on Gyspy Jazz. I played all the instruments and recorded it at home studio during the summer of 2006. I used an early 50's Busato guitar that is very close to the Selmer guitars that Django played. For the bass, I used an old Kay upright. Please check out CDBaby and hear sample clips of all the tunes on Solo Trio. These days I've been playing with a great gypsy jazz group called Swing Papillon. The final tune is from a score that I'm working on for the film, "the lonely bull." The piece is loosely based on a flamenco taranta. Below is a trailer that has been submitted to the "from here to awesome" film fest ----I've started working on a new CD project that will focus mostly on the solo fingerstyle guitar. I posted a rough version of "Columbiana"- a song that I'll most likely include on my CD. The tune is from a test recording I did when I was trying to figure what mic to use....The other song on here, "Two Long Years," is from a live radio show that I did in Seattle (maybe '92-'93?) The tune is an old Janice Martin song. Little Wendy and the Starlite Trio was the name of the group and it was my first real band.
