Jason Scheff was born in San Diego, CA on April 16, 1962. He grew up in the San Diego area playing in clubs with San Diego's best musicians and bands. He moved up to Los Angeles in 1980 and kept playing the club scene until his break in 1985 when he was asked to be the replacement for Peter Cetera in the group Chicago. Scored his first hit single as an artist with "Will You Still Love Me" on Chicago 18. Co-wrote the hit "What Kind Of Man Would I Be" on Chicago 19 and 82 to 89 Greatest Hits and has been with the group ever since. Just celebrated 21 years with the band and going strong. Jason has also enjoyed a very successful side career as a studio musician singing on c.d.'s for artists such as Britney Spears, Clay Aiken, Kenny Rogers, Gino Vanelli, just to name a few. He has played bass on c.d.'s for artists like Neil Diamond, Olivia Newton John, Christopher Cross and many more. He is currently working on a solo album as well as several other niche projects with a collection of jazz musicians. Jason comes from a long line of talented musicians in his family line. His grandfather, Josef Lee, was a bandleader in the 40's in Hollywood, CA playing violin and upright bass. Jason's father is one of the all time greatest bass players ever to walk the earth. Jerry was a first call studio musician during the heyday of session work in Los Angeles working on records like "The Association", "The Doors (L.A. Woman)", 6 Elvis Costello records but the thing most people know about him is that he was Elvis Presley's bass player from 1969 until Elvis died. All through the Vegas years. No, Jason didn't have a choice... he was going to be in music! Chicago 30 was released in May of 2006 and received massive critical acclaim as a wonderful comeback album. Jason wrote the 2nd single off the album, a duet with Rascal Flatts called "Love Will Come Back".
