About Java Jived

Java Jived is a unique homegrown vocal octet specializing in a cappella arrangements of jazz and pop classics from throughout the 20th century. Known for its fine blend and intonation, this high-energy ensemble performs polished stylistic renditions of challenging repertoire by the best contemporary arrangers. Its members are trained professional musicians with years of experience exploring a variety of periods and genres with other acclaimed groups, including St. Louis Chamber Chorus, St. Louis Symphony Chorus, American Kantorei, and Collegium Vocale of St. Louis. Java Jived can be heard Sunday mornings on the local radio show Lotsa A Cappella hosted by Marjie Kennedy on KDHX 88.1 FM.
