The Domino Effect is a star-studded tribute concert celebrating the life and influence of rock and roll legend Fats Domino. Musical legends from far and wide are gathering in New Orleans for one historic night to pay tribute to Fats and his feats throughout his lifetime. A portion of the proceeds from this music extravaganza will benefit the Brees Dream Foundation bettering local playgrounds and outdoor recreation sites for the children of New Orleans. On Friday, August 29th, a party and concert will celebrate Brevard’s peace movement and Patriots for Peace co-founder Jeff Nall’s new book, “Perpetual Revolt: Essays on Peace & Justice and The Shared Values of Secular, Spiritual, and Religious Progressives.”
Musical performances by:
- Adam Azar, vocalist and guitarist of reggae band 23 Treez (myspace.com/23treezmusic) - The Nine Volts, Cape Canaveral roots rock band (myspace.com/theninevolts) - Benny S. and Da Tribe, debuting their new anti-war single “No More” (myspace.com/bennys)
The free event will also feature a sign-making corner for anyone preparing for the peace march the following day.
The festivities begin at 6pm and end at 10pm on Friday, 8/29 at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Brevard (2185 Meadowlane Ave), in West Melbourne.
