We are pleased to announce, that after a lot of long nights and plenty cussing, we are finally ready to launch the newly built Jazzre:freshed website. It has probably taken longer than usual due to the fact that neither of us are web developers… so, expect a few bugs here and there, which will be ironed out in due time.
The site is not the finished article by any means and some areas are still being constructed, however the foundation has been laid for an exciting space and there is plenty there to keep you interested. I guess you could call it a work in progress, being daily updated and developed. Expect it to evolve and develop over the coming months, with your support and input vital.
We invite you to click on everything you see and explore every nook and cranny of the site. There is plenty to see, watch and listen to, not to mention download.
Below, we have highlighted just a few of the areas featured on the site, just click on the corresponding icon to take you there…
Podcasts:
We are putting up podcasts & mixes free to download, on a fortnightly basis, starting this week with DJ Adam Rock’s "Space is the Place" mix… don’t forget to visit the podcasts & mixes archives to download some of our previous mixes.
Jazzre:freshed TV:
Jazzre:freshed has been filmed in some format, almost every week for the past six years and now we are able to share those memorable performances and magic moments on our dedicated Jazzre:freshed TV page. In this section, we are also showcasing relevant short films… this section is constantly being added to and updated with footage – six years worth of footage takes a long time to process!
The Gallery:
From general photography on the night, to promotional artwork and specialist exhibitions, there is a gallery page for every aspect of the Jazzre:freshed visual. This week, we are featuring photography (in the special gallery) from three photographers – Jerry Barnett, Neil Raja and Karen Patten… the gallery is updated on a daily basis as we are processing a great deal of content.
The Listening Room:
This space is going to be filled with delights for the ear, including samples, works in progress, exclusives, etc. At present, we have our "What’s got your ear?" feature, in which we upload ten tracks chosen by a Jazzre:freshed contributor or a special guest (this week DJ TopRock), that says what they have been listening to over the past week or two – the guest and selection is changed fortnightly.
Artist Profiles:
Every week, we profile an artist/band or two who has performed at Jazzre:freshed, giving you a background into their musical careers – we also include, footage, photos, soundclips/tracks and links… this week we are featuring Mark de Clive Lowe and Jason Yarde.
Jazzre:freshed Vol.1:
For those of you who were not lucky enough to pick up a copy of the Jazzre:freshed Volume One double album (now sold out), you can now listen to whole album in its entirety online - not downloadable – just click on the icon to take you there…
Tee Store:
The official Jazzre:freshed T-Shirt Store will be open for business from 01/11/09 and in addition to selling the Jazzre:freshed Tee ranges, we will also have Uprock and Futurism Tees available… click on the icon to see samples of a few of the tees that will be available.
Record Shop:
The Jazzre:freshed Record Shop will be open for business on the 01/11/09… click on the icon to see samples of a few of the items that will be available.
