The Jazzwang Zoo, once started as a pure improvisation-project, now moves between the parameters popsong and avantgarde, between dancable hits and complexity in order to surprise the audience and themselves over and over anew.
Influenced by different artists such as The Smiths, Esbjörn Svensson Trio or Jeff Buckley the Jazzwang Zoo takes much pleasure in experiments with appreciation for great melodies and fathom the options of a classical rock- instrumentation on edge.
They could prove their live- qualities all over germany with several international acts like The Jai-Alai-Savant (US), Portugal.The Man (US) or Fury Of The Headteachers (GB) and establish them beyond the borders of their hometown.
The musicpress such as german magazine „Intro“was thrilled by the Zoos music and certified them a huge autonomy: „By listening for the second or third time you realize what is really happening here: all unprepared and surprised, but in the most congenial vein.“

Der König und gleichzeitig Hofnarr des Bubblegum-Keyboard-Indie-Pop zwischen Ben Folds und Kate Nash macht sich wieder auf den Weg in seine Lieblingsstädte. Wuppertal (Mo. 22.06.) und Münster (Di. 23.06.) zückt jetzt jeweils den Terminplaner und sagt allen Freunden bescheid. Deadlines für Printpresse sind leider schon irgendwann gewesen... Ist alles etwas kurzfristig. Es lebe also die gute alte Mundpropaganda.
