Josh Daniels and the Addictions came together in Hamtramck, MI on a rainy summer night in 2006. Now, an ever-changing lineup brings together country tinged tales of impious journeys.
Josh has moved out to the Sonoran desert, but still collaborates with the Detroit Addictions via mp3's which ultimately wind up aired on Vern's Motown Hoedown on CJAM 91.5. Live shows will begin again this month.
The band can be contacted at switchbladerecords@yahoo.com.
"Reaching back into the decades and across the national frontier, Josh Daniels and the Addictions satisfy the fix of any bluegrass, "good country" junkie in Detroit." -(REAL DETROIT WEEKLY.)
"Really fun sh*t kicking, cow pokin country blues just the way we like it round the Lager! Fast paced and upbeat numbers that manage to incorporate the free spirit of rockabilly and the rawness of psychobilly, without losing the straight up country flavor. This is good stuff! We expect a lot from these fellers!" -(THE LAGER HOUSE, Detroit, MI.)
"One of the best of the super crop of country/bluegrass tributes to come out of Detroit lately." -(CORKTOWN TAVERN, Detroit.)
"Josh Daniels and the Addictions present a set of country... that will leave their audience wanting to have another beer or whiskey to let the tunes sink in or forget about what they made them feel." -(THEDETROITER.COM)
"Southern drawled Hamtramck country?" -(METROTIMES)
