As far as music - Beatles, Beach Boys, Ricky Nelson, Everly Brothers, Elliott Smith, Simon and Garfunkel, Zombies, Byrds, Bob Dylan, Saint Saens, Prokofiev, Dvorak, Bee Gees, Association, The Kinks, Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Coldplay, The Shins, Aimee Mann, George Harrison, Phil Spector, Maurice Jarre, Alfred Newman, Elmer Bernstein, James Taylor, Neil Diamond, The Band, The Supremes, The Four Tops, Motown/Tamla, Merseybeat, French Impressionist, etc.etc.
Sounds Like
One of the year's most pleasant surprises, "Something for Everyone"...is a delightful collection of pop songs that smile and wink through autumnal sadness. Blending country warmth with an Abbey Road accessibility, Crawford makes the sort of pop music that feels fresh but familiar.
- The Independent, Durham

The musty smell of old, attic-rescued LPs begins to enter your nostrils as you let yourself drift into the music contained on "Something for Everyone"
- The Daily Tar Heel, Chapel Hill

The music rambles like Elliott Smith in the Figure 8 era
- Southeast Performer Magazine

"Something for Everyone," is a solo effort...and the project proves that he's more than ready to step out on his own as a musician.
- Frank Statio, The State of Things, NPR Radio

...his quaint, charming solo material has quietly become some of the Triangle's most memorable.
- The Independent, Durham

Jeff Crawford is an artist/producer in Chapel Hill who has been a member of local bands such as Roman Candle, SpencerAcuff, and Max Indian. He released his solo debut, "Something For Everyone", in 2007, and is currently working on his second LP "Love Is The New Hip."

Crawford's songs on "Something For Everyone" have been compared to artists such as Elliott Smith, The Shins, The Everly Brothers, Ricky Nelson, and The Beatles. "Love Is The New Hip" will be an album based on the book "The Four Loves" by CS Lewis. You can read about its progress at 4loves.jeffcrawfordmusic.com.

In addition to these projects, Crawford has begun compositions for film music and plays from his home studio Arbor Ridge Studios.

Something For Everyone is a 12 track all original record made at Crawford's studio. For more information on that record, see www.jeffcrawfordmusic.com

Here's a brief video on how I went about making this record.

And also, I was wondering, why don't you start a tiny record label? You're a kick ass producer. Its gotta happen.

i did not see you while visiting this time. sad.

also, i learned on npr that while people dream about obama, biden, and palin with some frequency, people don't really dream about mccain.

do you ever dream about mccain?
