Influences
The Last Call is a five piece folk/rock ensemble from Asheville N.C. with the charm of the Avett Brothers, the stage presence of The Drop Kick Murpheys, and the songwriting stylization of The Band.
!!! End Code To Apply Top Banner !!!
From Kerouac to Kesey, many writers have traveled the world in search of something that doesn't even exist. Dylan says it's the american dream, Braughtigan say's it's trout fishing.
Maybe we just figure that it doesn't really matter. What you extract from life is what happens along the way, and even though the lesson comes quick, you may never even notice it's there.
Truth is, everyone wants to make a living doing what they love,
but if you're graced enough to do what you love while you live then you're doin pretty damn good.
So, the summer is ending, and the fall will soon be upon us. All the sun dresses will be packed away in exchanged for blue jeans and fancy scarves. The drinkers will go into hybernation and the local Asheville band will have to travel somewhere south.
As for us, we will be here working on a new album that will be released when the sun dress makes its return.
The album, not yet titled, will be a full length of ten to fifteen songs and will be more rowdy and raw than anything we have ever recorded.
We'll keep you posted regarding its progress.
