Oh goodness! Where to begin. Well, let's start from the beginning. It was an early September night back in 1980. My parent's wanted to officially to start a family, and yes folks, this is when I was concieved. HAHA! Too much info? Alright, well this is a biography, right? But seriously, music came to me at a very early age in my life.
My dad being an aspiring musician to make a difference in the world, I looked up to him as a role model, even at the young age of about 5. In fact, I created a song entitled, "Ohhh, my heart's broken." Now, for being a five year old, I often wondered if in fact I was a psychic to what future romantic encounters I would have along the way. I try not to question it too much.
Late at night, I will listen through the vents of my room as my dad created music. Sometimes it would bring me to tears, cuz I knew that it was in music that he truly can pour his heart and soul into.
I was in choirs, I did "circle the state with song" based in Indiana in both 5th and 6th grade. Not forgetting to mention, I did 2 or 3 school talent shows.
6th thru 9th grade I was also in the school choirs as well as being a marching band geek from 10th tru 10th grade. I didn't play an instrument, but in fact was a flag member, which I truly did love doing at the time.
From about the age of 14, my dad decided to take me on as his roadie, not only so I could give him a helping hand, but also showcase my talents.
This was also the time in my life when musicial influences started to shape a bit of my personality and who I was in the world. I am not saying that music shapes my entire being, but It might come close. I was introduced to the Beatles and then later on the likes of Sarah McLachlan, Tori Amos, Dave Matthews Band, Guster, Radiohead, and many other bands and solo artists.
After graduating high school was an Academic Honors Diploma, cuz I'm S-M-R-T like that, I pursued the field of Meteorology at Valparaiso University.
WAIT! STOP THE PRESS! Why not music? Didn't it make sense to go down the music route of life and get a degree in that? I think I was searching for something that could bring in the hamilton's and my confidence for music had somewhat slipped on the wayside.
Four years passed and I got a Bachelor in Arts Degree since I changed my major to Broadcast Meteorology,so that half of my major courses dealt with communications as well as individually minoring in Ancient Classical Studies(i named that one all on my lonesome!).
At this point in my life, I was thinking, FCUK, what am I going to do with myself? So what did I do? I saved up $3,000 of my loan money and head to England to go to Glastonbury, where lo and behold, I found my soul mate!
After nearly 2 years of dating, two glastonbury festivals, a V Festival, and numerous concerts behind us, we find ourselves still together in merry ol England. While living and working in England, I also put together some songs, which are the ones that are in the playlist above. It's funny where life takes you.
Although, the majority are bits and pieces of music, I hope that you enjoy what I put together. I did it all on my own using Logic Express( I wish I had Logic Pro!) that I self taught.
Please feel free to leave comments or Add me as a friend.
Yours in true form,
