JESSICA CATRON is a cellist, vocalist, composer and educator from the Black Hills of South Dakota, currently living in Los Angeles. She received her BM in Cello Performance from the University of New Mexico and her MFA from the California Institute of the Arts. Her musical adventures include touring, performing, and/or recording with such notable artists as Carla Bozulich, Harold Budd, Nels Cline, Devotchka, The Dreaming Ferns, The Eels, Evangelista, Rebekah Jordan, Lavender Diamond, Eleni Mandell, Dave Matthews, Sheila Nicholls, The Night Porter, Pauline Oliveros, Anna Oxygen, Linda Ronstadt, Spiritualized, James Tenney, Corin Tucker, VOCO, Scott Weiland, Emily Wells, Devon Williams, and Wilco, as well as with multi-media artists Mike Kelley, Susan Silton, and Cloud Eye Control. Performance highlights include the Walt Disney Concert Hall, Getty Center, Coachella Music Festival, University of Auckland, Lincoln Center Out-of-Doors (NYC), and La Festival Internacional de Musica Contemporanea (Bogotá, Colombia). In addition to performance, Jessica works as a teaching artist of both voice and cello for the wonderful Harmony Project/Youth Orchestra Los Angeles (YOLA), serving hundreds of at-risk youth in Los Angeles.
