Musical Influences (all these artists have inspired me in some way since I was 5, in essence, I am a mix of them all):
I have to start with the fact that an early friend of mine pointed out to me that "New Kids on the Block" was my first real favorite band, this was when I was 10. She said it was all those posters up on my wall that gave it away and that I needed to put them on the list of influences. Hey, that was the cool thing at the time.. 10 years old and blossoming into teen heart throbs. At least I'm honest. The Cure, Bjork, Tori Amos (Spiritual Mother), Madonna, Bob Marley, Pink Floyd (my explorative nature thrives with these guys among others), Jimi Hendrix,
Radiohead, Inga Liljetstom, Loreena McKennitt, Led Zepplin, Lamb,
The Doors, Natalie Merchant, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Sarah McLachlan, A Perfect Circle, Tool, Neil Young,
Ani Di'Franco, Cocteau Twins, Joni Mitchell, Dead Can Dance, Jeff Buckley, Enya, David Gray,
Xavier Rudd (this didge gave me a right of passage into music as a career), David Bowie, Mogwai, Sting, NIN, George Winston, Annie Lennox, Depeche Mode, Kate Bush, Any good anicient tribal style chanting and rythms (compiments of some tribes I lived with in the Amazon and in Central Kalimantan), Deep Purple, Lenny Kravitz, Scissor Sisters, Aerosmith, Rachel Shields, Joss Stone, Steve Lucas (hidden Legend, about to be revealed), Tyrone Noonan (kate bushes song "Rocket" comes to mind), Janis Joplin (Dionysus in his finest dress), Alanis Morissette, Robbie Williams, Debussy, Herbie Armstrong (hey Herb!), Louis Armstrong, Jessica Paige (emerging starlet, butterfly), B52's (one of my moms all time fav's growing up.. funny stuff, rock lobster just to name a song), Cindy Lauper, Michael Jackson, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (true artist know how to do it), Sly and The Family Stone, U2, Lee Stout (Good things yet to come), Deya Dova, Alicia Keys, Jamiroquai, Nirvana, Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Scarlett Cook, INXS, The Beatles (paved a way), Mariah Carrie, Kyle Minogue, Mazzy Star, Johnny Cash, No Doubt, Bush, Sublime, Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, Sheryl Crow, Janet Jackson, Guns N' Roses (I remember old school 8th grade rock outs with friends, red wine and ghetto blasters on the top of random roofs with these guys), Goa (I had a small trance stage too), Sydonia, Alanna & Alicia, Richard Wagner, Frank Sinatra, World Music, Elton John, Cat Stevens, Blondie, Silver Chair, Coldplay, Clare Torry, Angus & Julia Stone, Augie March, The Black Keys, Damien Rice, Kings of Leon, Wolfmother, The Fumes, Beth Orton, Eddie Vedder, Jeremiah John McMohan, Ash Grunwald, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks, Eivor Palsdottir, ABBA, Bat for Lashes, The Beatles, (they keep comming)...

Jiin Christou comments: "Music has the quality of diving beneath the surface level. Here we learn about truth. My creation process is that I am always working whether i'm having a martini on some island, or doing my laundry. The music industry is changing, the world is always changing.. and right now, for better or for worse, I see so much opportunity.
