Hi, what can I say that I haven't said before (without moving my lips, that is)?
I make a living talking to myself... and without medication.
This unusual profession has allowed me to travel the globe entertaining for zillions of people (how many is a zillion?). I've even been fortunate to have been honored with some pretty nice awards for my work along the way.
My family and I live in Branson, Missouri and I look forward to a long run at the Hamner Barber Theater where I perform with my great friends and amazing illusionists, The Hamners. We not only perform together nightly, but we share in the ownership and management of the theater property. We are blessed to be able to control our own destinies to some extent, while enjoying the creative freedom of producing and performing in our own show.
If that wasn't enough to keep me busy and out of trouble, I am also an owner-partner in Image Works, Inc., a full-service multimedia company serving businesses and theaters in the Branson market.
In my spare time (wait... I don't have any spare time) I serve on the board of directors for Mountain Country Homes of Hope, providing decent, affordable housing to deserving families here in the Ozarks of Missouri.
Beginning in October 2008, I will also serve on the board of directors for the Branson Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and CVB. I'm excited to participate in the promotion of our unique and wonderful city.
And once in a blue moon, I'm able to venture to Ft. Mitchell, KY where I'm proud to sit (with no one else's hand up my back) on the board of advisers to Vent Haven Museum, the World's largest collection of ventriloquist memorabilia and home of the International Vent Haven Ventriloquist ConVENTion. One of the most unique annual getherings ever!
The fifth season of the Hamner Barber holiday production, The Wings of Christmas, opens on November 1, 2008. This will be our biggest version of the show yet with new illusions and a special tribute to all of our beloved American Veterans. Make plans now, to join us in Branson during Ozark Mountain Christmas!
I had my marketing cap on about a week ago and with all the bad news; the Taliban in Pakistan, the looming Chyrsler bankruptcy, the new flu epidemic, etc; I decided to go with a more optimistic theme for this summer in a bumper sticker (old school). I think its working. There are currently a little more than 50 cars in the Branson area sporting this lil’ beauty. (Yes, I comped them) What do you think?
Hi Jim, thanks for adding us to your friends list! So you made back to Branson just in time for the ice storm? As an old friend once told me...timing is everything! (-:
Thank you again for the tickets. The show was wonderful. I'll have to tape Lindsey doing her "magic" tricks. She even taps on the coins like Dave did..so cute. All I've heard has been the chicka boom song too...thanks! ;)
