Just another aging rock star.
"After 41 years of playing, Jimmi's talent is undeniable. His stage presence is incredible. I wish I had his hair!" - Joe Satriani
Jimmi was playing professionially at age 11 at many of the roadhouses in Central Florida. By age 20, the venues had progressed to the point where he was appearing at large outdoor concerts of the type that were popular during the late 70's and early 80's. Tired of just doing covers, he started writing and performing originals
His recording career took off in 1980 when the famous record producer Michael K. Cushing heard Jimmi at the legendary "Haystacks East Coast Festival". Not wanting to lose creative control, Jimmi agreed to enter into a partnership with Mike and MJ Records sprung to life.
For the next six years, Jimmi and Mike spent many weeks in recording studios throught out the Southeast US. Mike's voice is heard in the song "Fast Food" which was the first original song of Jimmi's to get air play thanks to Mike's connections with various radio personalities.
During this period, Jimmi and Mike made a connection with famous music producer Mike Redman. Among other successes, this led to the eventual publication of "Slight Return" which received extensive air play as the theme song for WCW and WWF Wrestler "The Godfather". The song was re-released under the title "Ho Train" and is available to this day on releases of WWF music.
In the mid 90's, Jimmi vanished unexpectedly, his whereabouts unknown. The only clue was a note he left with business partner Mike. All the note said was "Tibet"
After many years of seclusion with Buddhist monks in the himilayas, Jimmi has now rocketed back on to the music scene with the re-release of his now legendary "Mother's Day 2004" CD.
He is now working on new material based on the major changes in his life and has reconnected with Mike for the resurrection of MJ Records.
