BIOGRAPHY

JMC grew up on the tough streets of Hackney and it was not long before he was exposed to the raw elements of his neighbourhood. At the tender age of 21 he was stabbed almost fatally and it was at that point that he knew he would not be a victim or product of his environment, but become something for himself, his area and the UK. JMC always had dreams of making music in the US with his UK flavour, as he wanted to bring something new and fresh at the same time offering the US a chance to see our UK style. However he was always told by interested majors that this was impossible. So he chose not to take the commercial way out and stay true to the music in his heart. The result was major resulting in collaboration with the likes of 112, ATL, Cassidy, Remy Ma of Terra Squad, Lox (D-Block), Sheek Louch, Styles P and a list of others which he keeps locked up in his Vault music company.

Along side that, he has earned respect from the UK urban scene, collaborating with artists such as Lemar, Sincere and Mike GLC, to name but a few. He is also well known by some of London's biggest DJs for the input he has brought into the music scene, not least with his Ocean Drive exclusive parties. JMC is fast becoming one of London’s pioneering music moguls.

Ocean Drive is the most exclusive invite only party held only in the most prestigious venues in London’s club scene, with a mailing list exceeding thousands which has recently expanded to include venues all around the UK. Ocean Drive started off in his hometown at the Ocean music venue, and is now the most anticipated event of the month, with a guest list of VIP’s and 1st class performers, such as the recent ATL invite only party.

The Vault, which was founded by JMC is now one of the most successful recording studios in London and is in constant use by UK and US artists. And as JMC is familiar with the struggle he has made it affordable for up and coming artists to use as he casts his musical ear for artists that have what it takes to be developed and signed.
