The Church is an art project that consists of a highly decorative chapel installation from which a service involving a sermon and music is conducted. It references the ritual and aesthetics of traditional religions and utilises them in order to deal with contemporary philosophical ideas and the panhistorical issues of faith, revelation and ethics. Conceptually it is conceived as the meeting place of a modern mystical sect, that operates outside the limitations of western “rational” atheism, yet acknowledges occidental culture and history as it's foundation. It explores the potential of cross-discipline art practices in conveying an engaging and poetical approach to existential problems, and it exploits the psychological effects of a tailored spiritual atmosphere.

Everywhere resoundeth the voices of those who preach death; and the earth is full of those to whom death hath to be preached.
Or "life eternal"; it is all the same to me--if only they pass away quickly!--
I strolled along a midnight path beside a cool canal, the purple, oozy shadows of branches stroked the water softly, the silhouettes of trees were shot through intermittently by the bright cycloptic gaze of streetlamps, the light lay upon the lazy mist rising from the dark channel, giving it a fluorescent aura as it quaffed out deep and oily vapours.
