CONGRATULATIONS North Carolina Tar Heels - #1 in 2009
Judge Gently
Pray, don't find fault with the man that limps
Or stumbles along the road.
Unless you have worn the shoes he wears
Or struggled beneath his load.
There may be tacks in his shoes that hurt
Though hidden away from view.
Or the burden he bears placed on your back
Might cause you to stumble too.
Don't sneer at the man who's down today
Unless you have felt the blow
That caused his fall or felt the shame
That only the fallen know.
You may be strong but still the blow
That was his if dealt to you
In the self same way, at the self same time
Might cause you to stagger too.
Don't be too harsh with the man that sins
Or pelt him with word or stone
Unless you are sure - yea, doubly sure -
That you have no sins of your own.
For you know, perhaps,
If the tempter's voice should whisper as soft to you
As it did to him when he went astray
It might cause you to falter too.
Let's all try to be a little bit more sympathetic to others. Let's try to live life with a clear conscience. Let's not judge others. Let's treat everyone like we want to be treated. Let's act as Jesus would want us to act. Let's not just talk about it. Let's really do it!
Starting right now!!
ABOUT ME AND MY FAMILY
I have 32 year old twin daughters, 4 grandsons (ages 27, 12, 10, and 8) and 1 granddaughter (age 3). I will have a new grandson on or about September 25, 2009. I also have a 23 year old step-grandson and a 21 year old step-granddaughter. I have been a widow since May, 2006. I live with my daughter, Shirley, my son-in-law, John, my grandson, Shawn, and my up-coming grandson in the northeastern part of North Carolina.
I am blessed to be living because I am a 2-time Breast Cancer Survivor. I found the first lump myself in January 1994 at the age of 52. The second lump was detected by my annual mammogram in November 2005 at the age of 64. I would never have found the second lump myself because it was in the center of the breast at the back wall.
THANK GOD FOR MAMMOGRAMS !!!
PLEASE HELP
IT WILL COST NOTHING BUT A MINUTE OF YOUR TIME.
The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enought people to click on their site daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman. It takes
less than a minute to go to their site and click on "donating a mammogram" for free (pink window in the middle).
This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate mammograms in exchange for advertising.
PLEASE COPY AND PASTE THE FOLLOWING SITE TO YOUR FAVORITES AND CLICK DAILY.
The following is a poem written by Judge Roy Moore from
Alabama. Judge Moore was sued by the ACLU for displaying the Ten Commandments in his courtroom foyer. He has been stripped of his judgeship and now they are trying to strip his right to practice law in Alabama! The judge's poem sums it up quite well.
America the beautiful,
or so you used to be.
Land of the Pilgrims' pride;
I'm glad they'll never see.
Babies piled in dumpsters, Abortion on demand, Oh, sweet land of liberty; your house is on the sand.
Our children wander aimlessly poisoned by cocaine choosing to indulge their lusts, when God has said abstain
From sea to shining sea, our Nation turns away From the teaching of God's love and a need to always pray
We've kept God in our temples, how callous we have grown. When earth is but His footstool, and Heaven is His throne.
We've voted in a government that's rotting at the core, Appointing Godless Judges; who throw reason out the door,
Too soft to place a killer in a well deserved tomb, But brave enough to kill a baby before he leaves the womb.
You think that God's not angry, that our land's a moral slum? How much longer will He wait before His judgment comes?
How are we to face our God, from Whom we cannot hide? What then is left for us to do, but stem this evil tide?
If we who are His children, will humbly turn and pray; Seek His holy face and mend our evil way:
Then God will hear from Heaven; and forgive us of our sins, He'll heal our sickly land and those who live within.
But, America the Beautiful, If you don't - then you will see, A sad but Holy God withdraw His hand from Thee..

>>To All My Keepers, >> >>I grew up with practical grandparents who had been frightened by the Great Depression in the 1930's. A grandmother, God love her, who washed aluminum foil after she cooked in it, then reused it. She was the original recycle queen, before they had a name for it. A grandfather who was happier getting old shoes fixed than buying new ones. >> >>Their marriage was good, their dreams focused. Their best friends lived barely a wave away. I can see them now, Granddad in trousers, tee shirt and a hat; and Grandmom in a housedress, lawn mower in one hand and a dish towel in the other. It was the time for fixing things; a curtain rod, the kitchen radio, a screen door, the oven door, the hem in a dress. Things we keep. >> >>It was a way of life, and sometimes it made me crazy. All that repairing, eating, renewing, I wanted just once to be wasteful. Waste meant affluence. Throwing things away meant you knew there'd always be more. >> >>But then my grandfather died, and on that clear fall night, in the warmth of the hospital room, I was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't any more. >> >>Sometimes, what we care about most gets all used up and goes away ... never to return. So ... while we have it ... it's best we love it. And care for it. And fix it when it's broken. And heal it when it's sick. >> >>This is true ... for marriage ... friends ... family ... and old cars ... and children with bad report cards ... and dogs and cats with bad hips ... and aging parents ... and grandparents. We keep them because they are worth it, because we are worth it. Some things we keep. Like a best friend that moved away or a classmate we grew up with. >> >>There are just some things that make life important, like people we know who are special ... and so, we keep them close! >> >&
HI FRIENDS HOPE YOUR WEEKEND IS GOING WELL. JUST STOPPING BY TO LET YOU KNOW WE HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN YOU & STILL LOVE YOU...EVEN THOUGH WE ARE NOT ON AS MUCH..WE WILL NEVER EVER FORGET YOU...
