About Joe Nelson can shoot lazers out of his eyeballs
Hi I'm Joe!!!!!!! I have a bachelor's degree in music from the Shenandoah Music Conservatory in Winchester Virginia. I studied classical and Jazz while I was there. For many years I taught guitar lessons on a regular basis around the Washington DC area. I worked as a studio musician and free lance guitarist as well as touring rigorously with a rock/ska/metal band called 33 West. With my time in that band I had toured in most places in the United States as well as a few areas outside of the country. I have played the Warped tour from 2002-2005, as well as many of the flipeside festivals traveling through the virginia area. In October of 2006 I was hired by Matt Squire (panic at the Disco, thrice and many others) and Epic Records to record a full length album with artist Juliet Simms. The album is now out under the name 'Automatic Loveletter'. Later in 2007 I joined up with Malitia Group's newly signed artists, Driving East. I have done several tours with them, including South By South West and a tour with Set Your Goals and Just Surrender. In 2008 I started touring with Automatic Loveletter. In the winter we went out as support for acts such as Every Avenue, Secondhand Serenade, From First to Last and Say Anything. In the summer of 2008 Automatic Loveletter (using me as the lead guitar player) played both Bamboozle festivals as well as the Smart Punk stage and the Hurley stage on the Van's Warped Tour. I am now teaching lessons in Richmond VA and playing with a gypsy jazz trio called The Horror Show Hot Club. If you want me for a gig, let me know. Hooray for music!
Beat It by Driving East -This is a cover of Micheal Jackson's classic. Malitia Group wanted the band to record a cover song for their Japanese release of the new record. I Like my solo in this one due to the over use of the wammy bar. The Answer by Automatic Loveletter - This song is a little fast and more upbeat compaired to the majority of the songs I record on this record. I played bass on this one. I absolutely love this girl's voice. Uncanny Melancholy by Jackie Gino - I came in and recorded some guitar leads with a nylon string classical guitar for this band. This is one of my favorite solos I have done. Hush by Automatic Loveletter - This song's mood is sad and powerful. I think it's beautiful. Again, I love this girl's voice. Leapold and Lobe by 33 West - KC and I have a "shred off" in the bridge of this one. I love all the guys in this band and think they are so talented. Liberty by Margot MacDonald - I've worked a ton with this girl in the past year. If you haven't heard her yet you should definately check her out. Huge fan of the bridge in this tune.
Come on man, I'm learning my key signatures, no reason to call me a lazy jerk! haha - I'm getting that number for you today ill hit you up later on with it.
whats up there you putz. Lacey and I split. I'm with a real women now. If you ever decide to be straight again and not such a queer we should grab a few 8 or 9 beers and terrorize people. Keep in thought dude.
