I am based in Bristol and signed to Invada Records UK as a solo artist.... I am also the singer with G O N G A (gonga.co.uk). My debut solo album 'Derwent Waters Saint' was produced by Adrian Utley (Portishead) and is out now in the UK...
The tracks 'The Sun Also Rises' and 'Thaumaturgist' are taken from the record.... The other track is a cover of 'Wicked Game', recorded live on a Bristol radio station at some point in the last years. The other other track is a demo from my next solo misery assault.
I put on nights in Bristol called 'Happenings and Killings' which is in my top8 below. I write music for documentaries and short films, my most recent commission was for a National Geographic documentary on Cryogenic Suspension. I am a vocalist with the band 'Crippled Black Phoenix'.... Our debut album is out now and our next two albums are being released at the same time in the early summer.
My next solo album will be out later on in 2008/9/10. I am recording the demo's at the moment in a small room in Mivart Street studio's in Easton.

well, it's raining so that's rubbish. oh and yesterday i cleaned the shower, i don't think the people who lived here before cleaned it the whole time they were here, i'll warrant. and oh it was awful. but when i was cleaning the pipe/hose part i thought of the song 'the kid is hot tonight' by loverboy. so now whenever i have a shower i will probably think of the song 'the kid is hot tonight' by loverboy. just how it goes, i guess.
although german and not scandinavian, it's still a very claw-fisted name to bear that's all. it's like the name of one of those people that sit in the tree and yell things about moons and pixies, etc whilst dressed as kiss. do you know of this subculture?

my great great great great grandfather was called kasper muth (pronounced mooth). actually, might be spelt mueth. n'sure.
your surname isn't even volk, that would be a coincidence. i remember when i learned the word coincidence and i was only a small child and i said it to a prefect and the prefect didn't know would it meant. i felt royal.
Cycle to Cornwall? Maybe ... I'm going to cycle the Camino de Santiago next spring. You should come along, you could play gigs along the way - 'And now, the man you've all been waiting for - JOE BOLK!'
