"Consensus is the process whereby everyone gives up what they believe in...for something that nobody believes in. What great cause in history would have been fought and won under the banner: ‘I stand for consensus?' Consensus is the absence of leadership.”
-- Margaret Thatcher
Personal I love my new home state of New Hampshire. I spent 27 years in Texas and I decided a change was good for me. I like to tell those I meet "I was born to live here." There are monumental goals I would like to accomplish, and quite frankly, out of a list of 41 that I wrote down, I've accomplished about 32 of them. My way of thinking is very different. I don't believe in "work." I believe true freedom can be found when you work for yourself, or if others work for you. I have ideas, energy, ambition and a willingness to learn new things every day. I used to go to bed reading an encyclopedia (one letter a night), and I've read the daily paper since I was 13. I draw maps of towns that I want to build. I draw concepts of real estate developments that I want to oversee. My heart is as big as this planet, and I've got the ego to match it. However, there's one thing about my ego that doesn't involve just myself. Without the Torah-led understanding God has shown me, I would be nothing. That's not to say I'm "religious." I can't stand man-made religion. I'm not perfect, nor do I try to be. I have a salty tongue, I have sharp opinions and I absolutely despise liars. The stuff you'd ever want to learn about me can be found in a Google search. Try it. You might laugh. My background from Texas is pretty infamous, but I don't apologize for what I did during my years as a newspaper guy. Accountability and responsibility are two planks in my personal platform that I expect politicians and "leaders" to subscribe to. If they don't, I have tools to remind them. Please don't be intimidated. I'm really an easy-going guy, and I never forget where "I came from." I have no problem meeting new friends or being nice to hardcore opponents. But I'm a goofball. I have a warped sense of humor. And I have two of the most adorable four-legged creatures ever created living with me...
Business I was a newspaper reporter in my junior year of Midlothian High School, covering Panthers football, and originally sought to become a sports writer. I spent two years at Focus Daily News in DeSoto doing that before being turned to a conservative-independent newspaper called The Ellis County Press. It was there that my love for local politics flourished. I was set on becoming an investigative reporter, and I did become one, and I won awards for it, and made lots of enemies. Now I'm a political columnist for The ECP and I love it. I'm also in charge of recruiting, hiring and training our news reporters.
Political I haven't been a Republican my entire life (my parents were independents), but I've been a longtime fan of Barry Goldwater and Dr. Ron Paul. They're heroes to me. I've run for office four times - Midlothian school board, U.S. Congress and Waxahachie City Council. I don't view those races as downsides. I've got more experience than most politicians in office - and I started running when I was 23. I've got very thick skin to withstand the constant warfare that one would find in the political world. But my newspaper journalism experience taught me the traits of being honest with people. Elected officials call me asking for advice. That is one of the most humbling things I've ever experienced.
Religious I was raised Southern Baptist, saved at FBC-Ovilla in 1996, but didn't "get it" until July 22, 2002. It was that night that God opened my eyes and opened my heart to the Jewish/Hebrew roots of Christianity. I've been Messianic ever since. I don't eat unclean meats, I don't celebrate Christmas or Easter, and I basically follow the commandments as much as possible.
Goals/Ambitions I'll be real honest about it: I want to run for President of the United States, and I believe that I'll do it. However, I also want to make loads of money in the private sector, managing and owning my businesses. It would give me the flexibility of (a) affording what it would cost to run, and (b) allow me the freedom to travel and do all the other rewarding things you get when you own your own business. I've got a laundry list of goals and dreams, and I'm fulfilling most of them so far. However, I can't hide the fact God's allowing me to do it. If not for being saved and chosen, I wouldn't see this much success.

Psa 101:2 I act wisely in a perfect way. When do You come to me? I walk in the midst of my house with a perfect heart.
Psa 101:3 I set no matter of Beliyaal before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It does not cleave to me.
Psa 101:4 A perverse heart turns away from me; I do not know evil.
Shalom my friend! I am honored by your friendship. If ever you would need me to pray with you about anything, please don't hesitate to ask me.
