Currently I collaborate with Andy Morgan From London UK who writes some of the guitar and plays most of the guitar on the new album. I play some guitar sing and play harmonica.
Influences
I'm getting old so I have a lot of influences. I started with the Blues and Big Bill Broonzy, Bessie Smith, Sonny Terry and Little Walter. From Folk I loved Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Roy Harper, Richard Thompson and Michelle Shocked. From Punk I love Chumbawamba, the Clash, John Cooper Clarke, the Pretenders, the Stranglers, the Buzzcocks and god all of it! From Country I love Steve Earle and Nancy Griffiths. From Zydeco I love Clifton Cheneir and Queen Ida. From pop and rock the Beatles and Pink Floyd.
But most of all I am influenced by the unsung unheard Musicians around m. Those brilliant people who Tin Pan Alley never bit onto or chose not to be bitten. Artists like Ian Stanton, Claire Mooney and my collaborator Andy Morgan. Artists like Leigh Stirling and Bob Gobbledegook, the late Tony Hill and Barry and Lynne Hardman. Hell I could even be influenced by you!
Sounds Like
There are no lyrics like this anywhere which better describe disability rights. The music is varied and can sound like Dylan, John Lennon, Howlin' Wolf, the Tourists or the Beatles to name a few? What do you think?
Hello, I want to thank you for caring about The Wintu tribe of Northern California, and taking the time to add our page. Even though all we wanted was to coexist, we were stripped of our homes, and slaughtered. The few that survived had to face the unimaginable reality that the peace in our familys, and the land we cherished were forever gone. Nothing can bring them back, so it's up to us to be their voice. Every single voice counts.
To all who read this, please take just a few minutes to read over my tribe's history. If you have any opinion you want to share about us, please comment our page. We GREATLY appreciate it. Please spread the word for the voices that can no longer be heard...
PLEASE HELP me with this petition. My son is stuck in a foreign country due to his disability, and he wants to come back home to the States. Let’s stop this type of discrimination. More details and link to the petition can be found at http://bringushome.piczo.com
I ask that you take a minute to sign both petitions and then copy and paste this. PASS IT ON, asking them to pass it on.
