Johnny Lowebow is the stage name of John Lowe. He has been performing on Cigarbox Guitars since 1998 and as a One Man Band since 2001. He Builds the axes he plays on. They are of his own design and also suggestions have been incorporated that other performers have needed for their shows. This site is monitored by John.
He and his lovely wife have an awesome bookstore & music shop located on Central Ave. here in Memphis called Xanadu. This is not just any ordinary bookstore, it's home of THE "LOWEBOW". These beautiful cigar box guitars are created and custom made by Johnny Lowebow himself! All are labeled. autographed, and dated by hand by Johnny himself.
