John lived 23 years but accomplished more than most can in a lifetime. He wrote and recorded 400 songs and has hand-written countless others in journals and on tiny scraps of paper. Everyday we find another. Still, it would be an injustice to say that John was a just a musician; he never called himself one. He seamlessly felt and heard music in every part of life, maybe that is why he was born able to pick up and play any instrument without ego or pretense.
We created a page for him here as a first step to exposing the world to the wonder that is John. We hope to provide an outlet where songs and stories of John can be heard, shared and celebrated. We have established a memorial fund in John's name as it is in his name that we need to make the world smile. Through the John R. Pike Memorial fund we can all help finish what John didn't have the time to complete; with his music, his love for helping, animals, plants and most importantly people.

Summer again, no denying it. You must have been busy the past few days, we even lost power once and some trees came down. I've resigned to keep my nails shorter and the strings seem better for it. I just wasn't ready in 03. Too bad.
