Jonas Quant is a record producer, composer and songwriter from Sweden. Before stepping into the pop world in 2006, he had been helping define the quirky neo-electro sound scene in Sweden, producing, dj’ing and performing live shows with his band, Quant. Taking in cross-cultural musical influences, he sculptured his craft and his eclectic sound was in the vanguard of development.
The crossover into mainstream pop came through his long-term friend and collaborator, Pontus Winnberg (from the Bloodshy & Avant production team). This led him to work extensively on Kylie’s million plus selling Grammy nominated album “X”. Writing and showcasing some of the finest programming and production nuances on this album got the Swedish hit-maker noticed for his credible electro fused pop records.
His cool and versatile song-writing sensibility laden with the hot meticulous production skills is rapidly making him the “in-demand writer producer”, who has worked with writers, artists and brands such as Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg (a.k.a Bloodshy & Avant), Kylie Minogue (EMI, UK), Richard “Biff” Stannard, Volvo, Leon Jean-Marie (Island, UK), Karen Poole, Absolut Vodka, Sophie Ellis Bextor (Polydor, UK), Paul Harris, Saab and Kerli (Island Def Jam, US) to name a few. Currently, Kelis, Alphabeat, Kylie and The Hurts amongst others are keeping him busy...
