Check Jake, Mary, and the 'Dog out on my Top 8. Join us at a rock show near you sometime soon.
I'm a Second City Detroit graduate and have been a cast member of the critically acclaimed Improv Inferno troupe.
I like to dress up and pretend I'm other people sometimes, too. You might see me in the occasional commercial, short-or-feature length film, or other assorted online video.
So, let's see...
Actor, musician, improviser, entrepreneur, former stand-up comic.
Yeah. I have done and sometimes still do some or all of those. And therefore I respect most anyone else involved in any of those pursuits. People doing what they love, and doing whatever it takes to do what they love.
Creativity is paramount to me. I enjoy originality, but I can still enjoy a new spin on an old thing. After all, most music is just the same chord structures, put together in different ways. I enjoy the avant-garde, but there's also comfort in familiarity. Good 'ol guilty pleasures, right? Things can still be every bit as enjoyable, even if they've been done before. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm artsy, but maybe more fartsy. Holla.
I want to boycott closed-mindedness. Belligerence. The tendency to act before thinking. Loudmouths. Small talk. Racism. Malls. Big trucks. Viruses. Earwigs. Scorpions. Lack of sleep. Deadlines. People who always think of themselves first. Tomato seeds. Debt. Bitter cold. Uber-conservatives. Baseball hats. Casinos. Organized religion. Major league sports payscales. Car repairs.
And I'm sure I'll add more later.
Things I approve of: Sushi. Performing. Video games - RPGs, mostly. Spare time to play video games (which I have none of). Witty banter. Introducing people to new music. Spicy foods. Snow days, or other unexpected time-offs. Finding forgotten money in a pocket. Finishing projects. Learning songs. Turtlenecks and warm coats. Autumn. Vacations. Toronto. Traverse City. Hot tubs. Red wine. White wine. Good beer. Martinis. Anime. Cats. Buying CDs. Hot showers. Computers. People who don't take things at face value. Photography. Singing. Road trips. Baseball. Ice skating. Street fairs. Girls with nice toes. Garden Fresh Salsa(tm). Giving gifts. Live music. Not having to work in the morning. COFFEE. Apples to Apples. Guesstures. Movies (see sidebar). Harmonizing. Nature trails. Pumpkin bread. Sunglasses on sunny days. Or at night, because Corey Hart says so. The 80's. Freedom. Self reliance and self confidence. Fancy pizza.
And I'm sure I'll think of more later, too.
So... that's a little about me. Anything you need, you just let me know. I got yer info right here.
Who I'd like to meet: Nice, creative, open-minded people. Professional actors, agents, producers (esp. Guy Sigsworth, Matt Mahaffey, BT, and Ken Andrews), and ninjas.

I remember you sending me stuff from your band. And I still have it on a few CDs of mine. I listened to one of your songs recently in the kitchen when I was making pepito chips.
Where would we be without you? It's great to take yet another filmic voyage across seas of, um... film that... ah.
The metaphor boat kinda fell apart there. Anyway, thanks so much for enduring tree hangings and blood and latex, and for delivering world class performances. You're awesome.
Sorry I haven't written back yet - last week of school and I'm getting my ass handed to me. But I'll be moving to a new place in town, doing pre-production on a film I'm producing/directing/possibly acting in and co-writing with Chip, finishing up "Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea" and collecting a cool 10 grand on a Keno game I won the other day.
OK, I lied about one of the aforementioned feats. I'll leave it up to you to decide which is false.
By the way, that midget wrestling clip you have posted below is hilarious!
Think I saw you at 5th ave last saturday on keyboards. Hanging out with a girlfriend of mine at the bar, and then..."hey, i think i know that dude". Good tunes.
