Yes! It really is true! They have finally finnished mixing Obscure Lanes. I don't even believe it myself! Up on their myspace you'll find three simply great songs that you haven't heard before. Two of them will appear on the album and the third one is an obscurity that they simply didn't know what to do with. All three songs on their myspace (and offcourse all of the songs on Obscure Lanes!) have got everything that you have come to associate Everyday Mistakes with, and yet so much more: Mattias haunting croon (sounding more desperate and honest, but still more dynamic, ballanced and complete, than ever before), Mattias haunting lyrics (about the inner and outer waste lands), the haunting minor-chord chord progressions (leading you straight out to the very outskirts of the world) etc etc..
Great vocalist, great lyrics, great songs, great arrangements and great production - Everyday Mistakes have got it all!
If you are a fan of David Lynch, Gregory Crewdson and the early records of Chris Isaak you'll adore them!
