Hey Josh...your story is was so inspiring...my favorite episode of intervention by far. You are one strong individual and I am sure you have encouraged many people with your strength and determination. Keep up the good work.
I am a recovering addict and watch that show to remind myself of the the person I used to be and how I never want to go back to that dark place. Life can get lonely but as long as we stay on the right path, good things are bound to happen. I am proud to say I have been sober for 3 years now...I know you weren't addicted to drugs...but food addiction is an addiction that is just as hard to recover from. You look great!! And I am sure you feel like a new person, I know I do. But just because we have rid ourselves of our vices does not mean that life becomes a cakewalk. We still have to deal with the trials and tribulations of everyday life...it's just how we choose to deal with them that makes us better and stronger people.
I know we don't know each other, but if you ever need anyone to vent to I am a very good listener. Feel free to write back, I could use a friend to talk to as well.
Thank you for sharing your story with the world, that must have taken a lot of guts and I commend you for being so brave.
