Interests
Music
I love music period. The genres that have the most impact on my life are Hip Hop, Jazz, R&B and Classical music. I am not opposed to Country but, cannot claim to be a connoisseur. Some artists I would like to recommend are: The Roots, Alicia Keys, Prince, Jay-Z, Danny Elfman, John Williams, Earth, Wind and Fire, Luther Vandross, Charlie Parker, Thelonious Monk, Miles Davis, Wynton and Branford Marsalis, Dave Matthew Band, Wu-Tang Clan, Tupac, Nas, DMX, Al Green, Jill Scott, The Temptations, Smokey Robinson, Louis Armstrong, U2, Van Halen, Bob Marley, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Beastie Boys and the list goes on.....Movies
My taste in movies is as diverse as my taste in music. I enjoy Science Fiction, Horror, Comedy, Action, Drama, Historical Drama, some Musicals (but don't tell anybody...I have a reputation to protect). Some movies I would like to recommend are: Underworld 1&2, Saw 1&2, The first two Superman movies with Christopher Reeve, Batman Begins, Desperado, Gangs of New York, Confidence, All of the Harry Potter movies (books, too), Kill Bill 1&2, Star Wars (all of them, even Phantom Menace), Sin City, Hide and Seek, Scarface (gangsta!), Matchstick Men, Devil in a Blue Dress, Lord of the Rings trilogy, Closer and the list goes on....Television
My guilty pleasure is American Idol. I also enjoy 24, Family Guy, Weeds, Battlestar Galactica, Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis, reruns of Sanford and Son, the Jeffersons and the list goes on...Books
I usually become loyal to authors not genres. My favorite authors are Orson Scott Card, Isaac Asimov, Robert Heinlein, Stephen King, Patricia Cornwell, James Patterson, William Shakespeare, etc. I do have to say that my love of reading was spawned from my love of comic books. Big Ups to DC and Marvel Comics for teaching me how to imagine different worlds and to immerse myself in them.
