James "FULLY" Ward/Angelo Peters/Jon Petronzio - Hammond Organ/Fender Rhoads/Clavinet
Marcus DiLauro- Baritone Sax/Tambourine
J-san delivers each song with raw sincerity and universal harmony. Energy explodes from saxophonist/vox harmony Lee Hamilton; who has gained critical acclaim as original lead horn and horn arranger for John Brown's Body (J-san was also an original JBB member). On the hammond organ is Michael Stark doing double duty (keyboard bass) and right hand melody...you have to see this...yes even Flabba Holt had to give him love. Lars Burggren's heavy drum style hints at his idol Leroy”Horemouth”Wallace sprinkled with his soul roots. WiL I Mckenna holds down the sticky riddum guitar and vox harmony with melodic sweetness and psychadelic dub.
Front man rebel charm and forthright Dub-Rock-Sound make J-san & the Analogue Sons a life-force that evokes the integrity of Bob Marley and the earthy soul of Fat Freddies Drop or Toots & the Maytals but with a whiff of something from the dub locker at King Tubby's. With the JATAS sound, one is able to quite literally “feel” the song, harkening us back to the timeless soul of the seventies...when music was still made one stone at a time.
With 3 full length albums on I-Town Records, and ENTAK Records: "Self Titled," "Sound Resistance," and their extraordinary third record "One Sound," these dub-rock-warriors are sharing their music with the world as they push forward into the ever-changing 21st century by continuing their relentless tour regiment supported by their consistent growing fan base; enjoying touring in Japan and Europe as well as here in the US.
J-san's incredibly earthy vocals are reminiscent of the great soul singers of any era, deftly moving from love songs dripping with emotion and punky reggae party anthems, to fiery protest songs that make even the hardest man send a fist up to the air in love. JATAS live show's consist of a full 6 piece ensemble version as well as a sound system (live dub) version that includes innovative modern sounds and a decidedly urban flavor that make the dance floor tremble and sway every night. The typical live show is a genre bending blend of high-grade reggae-dub, rock, electronic and roots soul. Innovative modern sounds with a decidedly retro flavor plus rootical vocal harmony. JATAS is coming to town...ring the alarm this is ultra.

"J-san and the Analogue Sons bring massive sounds and pure electric rawness to a live show...Damian Marley meets Spearhead and Ben Harper and forward still...." - DANSKMUSIKTIDSKRIFT / DK
"Mighty heartfelt songs sure to land college radio and the clubs
internationally" - TIME OUT/NYC
"A jamaican soundsystem blended with shotgun backwoods soulmusic...rudeboys with guitars" - VICE MAGAZINE
"This Ithaca quintet should thoroughly satisfy fans of Ozomatli, Ben Harper, and Black Eyed Peas; in many ways the Analog Sons are doing more innovative stuff than those artists. Whereas Harper, for instance, is content to merely toy with reggae beats, J-san and the Analogue Sons fully integrate deep-funk bass lines and dub rhythms into soul/hip-hop tracks." - EDITOR REVIEW / DOWNLOAD.COM
