Born in Raleigh, NC. Julie moved to NYC to pursue her dreams of being on Broadway. She has made her living ever since doing Broadway and various theater projects. But only in the past few years has she really returned to her roots. She started writing songs about 5 years ago, and a little over a year ago, met up with bluegrass musician/arranger/producer Dick Neal, and has finally found her sound. It's sort of funky bluegrass, or bluesy bluegrass or Country with a message. Her first full length album is due out in June of 2008 and is fantastic.
