Junket is a modern alternative rock band from Washingtonville, New York. Chris Wicher, Evan Santoro, Michael Miller and Chad Babcock create the four piece, blending different musical backgrounds and a variety of collective influences ranging from Led Zeppelin to Tool; Kirk Hammett of Metallica to Brandon Boyd of Incubus.
The amalgamation of their influences fused with their own musical style creates a unique and catchy, yet edgy sound. With the incredible guitar riffs created by Miller and the reflective lyrics & melodies of Wicher, the band separates itself from the genre....all while keeping the high intensity, energetic shows they are known for.
The band has released 2 EP's, 2006's "The Answer" & 2007's "A Dagger With A Smile", where the top 2 singles of each - "The Answer" & "Miss Trust" - got moderate radio airplay on local radio stations. 2009's highly anticipated followup has been promised to show just how far the band has come along. The full-length album will have 12-13 songs, including what is said to be their breakout single, "Weapon of Choice". Junket has opened for many national recording artists including Breaking Benjamin, Trapt, Taproot, Flyleaf, Josh Todd of Buckcherry, Gizmachi, Eve 6, Evan's Blue, Trust Company & Ill Nino.
