William Gage, was jailed for life and ordered to serve at least 20 years in 2004 for executing a drug dealer named Justine McAlroy.

There is new evidence in the case, including an alibi for Gage at the time of the murder.

Justin McAlroy had been under surveillance by the Scottish Drugs Enforcement Agency for more than a year before his death in 2002.

As far back as August 2002, a fifteen year old witness was complaining of police intimidation.

Vital evidence shows that this case is seriously flawed.

Hello friends,
Last email of the night and I am going to take an email break this week - except for obligations... Today is the day 15 years ago that the inmates surrendered at Lucasville and a greater tragedy was avoided through negotiation between inmates and officials. AND many of these inmates are serving time for crimes they did not commit.
PLEASE take the time to go to the ACLU Ohio website and sign the petition... For justice....

Governor Strickland: Review the case of Lucasville prisoners!

April 11 - 21 marks the 15th anniversary of the Lucasville prison uprising. Following the April 1993 disturbance at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville, five men were sentenced to death and many others to long terms of imprisonment for their alleged roles. These men were sentenced based on snitch testimony, prosecutorial misconduct, and without physical evidence.

The Lucasville Justice Project is petitioning the governor to appoint a special commission to investigate the Lucasville uprising.

As part of his senior project, Brandon Martin will be directing a staged reading of "Lucasville: An Untold Story Of A Prison Uprising", in Y.S.U.'s Spotlight Theater in Bliss Hall, Friday April 11 and Saturday April 12 at 8 PM. There will also be a Sunday performance at 5 PM. Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for adults. All proceeds to benefit Ohio-C.U.R.E.
