How do you define 'Hip-Hop'? Well, recently the image of 'Hip-Hop' has been shifted, abused and sculpt. The portrayal of this cultural artform has been exploited into this money-generating industry with false gimmicks and blurry facts. So how does the essensce prevail? How do we conquer the valleys of dark shadows?

Enter KAANQUEST.

From the first day, being 9th October 1988, Iman Hazheer followed the footsteps of his father to become a poet of truth and injustice. Due to his fathers political imprisonment in his native country of Iran his family immigrated to Sweden. With an already powerful mindstate he encountered the fascinating universe of Hip-Hop in the early 90's through legends like Nas, Rakim and KRS-One. Ever since he obtained the power to express the issues that concerns him, he has been lyrically standing for those who cannot stand, speaking for those who cannot speak and seeing for those who are too narrow-minded to see.

He manages to combine a mindblowing arsenal of rhymes, thoughts and pure heart with the input of street-reflection, wordplays, metaphoars and real knowledge which brings back the true definition of an MC.

As long as we keep not only our ears but our minds open, we will gain perspectives and spread more awareness and conciousness.

One shall not take throne, but can lead the path to the righteous. With our forces combined, we can carry on the burning torch of Hip-Hop. As long as we all have faith. And what better way to start the KAANQUEST with the name Iman meaning 'faith'.
