Nara was the first permanent capital of Japan. It's a mythical and traditional city full of history. Nara is the home of many sites of World Heritage. Nature is also abundant in Nara.
奈良在住の山中美里--Vo.Piano--荒井要--Gu.Syn.--種村光史--Gu.--堀一也--Ba.--の4人で2005年1月にkacicaを結成。同年3月にDrums新子洋史加入によりサイケデリックなノイズとリズム、幻想的な美声が混ざり合い独特の世界観を持つサウンドとなる。
同年8月から全国的に活動を開始。
2006年2月USシアトルのポストロックバンドminus the bearのJapan Tourサポートを行う。 2006年１０月pengtrade recordsから1st album「kacica」をリリース。それにともない全国30ヶ所Tour--国内--を行う。
2007年3月1st albumからRemix4曲と新曲「my eyes,they're called the earth」、未発表曲を含むRemix album「my eyes,they're called the earth」をリリース。
2007年８月には、約70万人が訪れ奈良の街中が灯籠であふれる歴史的イベント「なら燈花会２００７」に出演。東大寺春日野園地にて2公演行う。
2007年１２月に荒井要--Gu.Syn.--が脱退。４人編成になる。
2008年3月2nd album 「MOSAIC」をリリース。全国20ヶ所MOSAIC TOUR2008を行う。
