Apache Sound System	Jun 1 2009 3:26 PM Hello all Firstly thanks to everyone who came down last month, twas a great wee gig and the place was jumping to old skool jungle til the wee early hours. We’ve got our second credit crunching, barrack busting dance off on Saturday the 6th June. Tuneage on the night will come from Homespun and Rudimentary resident Chuck bringing some of his latin & broken beat flava to the Apache rig, and we’re glad to have Belfast turntablist & producer John King back again this month to bring some serious deck skills to the table. Finishing of the night will be Apache residents Jayuu and Jim Morton dropping some soulful dnb rollers til late in the night. The paltry fee of a 5er will get you entrance and as per usual it’s a bring your own event. Things will be kicking of around 9.30pm at Blick Studios, 51 Malone Road (across the road from the Church) Hope to see you all there!
BRAINDROP @ HIDDEN	Jun 1 2009 10:31 AM .. Wooohaaaaa!!! Braindrop is throwing its very first boat party on Saturday 6 June. The vessel is specially equipped to hold large groups of people (and all the extra bass bins we can squeeze on). Her name is The Dutch Master and she be a mighty fine boat too! It's going to be a ridiculously fun rinse up. However, if you think you can get away with being remotely serious and/or cool at this party - ye be mistaken. The Braindrop Boat Rave is fancy dress: Pirate's from the 80's. Arrgh...better get thinkin what ye gonna wear. D&B / DUBSTEP / TECHNO / BREAKS / ELECTRO / HARDCORE / HIP HOP / GABBA / BREAKCORE / PSYTRANCE / RAVE... and lots more! The boat will leave St.Katharines Pier (London) at 9pm and return at 2am. They Slowly build into euphoria and eventually explode on a deep, bassy and tough tip. His styles range from dry, but meaty minimal beats to heart opening rave orgasms. He blends Detroit and Chicago tracks from the good old days seamlessly into those of the present worth being played out. With releases on labels such as OstGut Ton, Bpitch and Memo Ben quickly made himself a name beyond the borders of Germany. Well known in the electronic scene for his releases on Perlon, ~Scape, Background, Musik Krause and on his own imprint 'Sud Electronic' as Portable and on Spectral Sound as Bodycode, his productions have covered various genres including IDM, Techno, Ambient soundscapes, glitchy House & experimental vocal work. His live sets have been destorying dancefloors everywhere from Fabric in London, the Sonar festival and various international locations with the 'Get Perlonized' nights.
