Nelson Algren, Clive Barker, Elmore Leonard, Andrew Vachss, Jim Thompson, Hunter S Thompson, Nick Hornby, Neil Gaiman, Arthur Nersesian, Melissa Hansen, Jonathan Ames, Donald Westlake/Richard Stark, Tristan Egolf, John Kennedy Toole, Irvine Welsh, John Irving, Chuck Palahniuk, Cormac McCarthy, Larry McMurtry, Charles Bukowski, James Ellroy, Avram Davidson, Michael Chabon, Henry Miller, Russell Banks, and Stephen King. I highly recommend each author here and if there's someone here who's books, you haven't read, do yourself a fave and hit the library.
