Born in Netanya Israel, Kelly Samia moved to Australia when she was just a few months old. Taking singing lessons from the age of six, she first broke out in song publicly with the Australian Girls Choir at the age of ten. After recovering from this she soon plunged into the 'Talent Quest' circuit picking up a number of awards along the way.
********************************************************************************** Whilst performing at an annual Victorian Big Band Competition/ Festival at the age of 15, Kelly was talent spotted and asked to sing with the Monash University Big Band. Following her passion for Jazz, Kelly spent a number of years performing at concerts, corporate functions, competitions and festivals. Including two memorable week-long tours visiting country towns in Australia.
********************************************************************************** In February 1997 Kelly joined the musical production 'Joining the Chorus' and was selected to sing as a soloist in two works. Following intensive rehearsals and training the final performance was at Rod Laver Arena in front of an audience of over 10,000.
********************************************************************************** Just weeks before her 17th birthday, Kelly participated in an inspiring event that required her to sing two solo tracks on a collaborative, fundamentally jazz/ chamber influenced CD. 'Under the Influence' (CD title), was arranged and performed by the superlative talents of Graham Lyall, and also performed by jazz greats such as Tony Gould, Ben Robertson, Tony Floyd and the Piston Baroque Brass Quintet.
********************************************************************************** Kelly performed as a soloist at 'The Stacey Night', a Melbourne Festival annual cornerstone event, with a Big Band consisting of the creme de la creme of Australian musicians. Kelly shared the stage with guest vocalists from musicals Chicago, Fiddler on the Roof and Les Miserables. After an enormous reception, Kelly was called back to perform over the following years.
**********************************************************************************Throughout her music career Kelly's versatility and interest in different musical genres has allowed her to work with an array of musicians and bands covering Blues, Jazz, Folk, R&B, Alternative, Electronic and World music. Currently she is writing and recording original music .

Past the sliver called today on the edge of tomorrow where dreams are made I venture through shallow streams in hope of finding the river deep. I plunge head first into these thoughts, unraveling the mystery that I have sought, to see the picture crystal clear, the face of my precious friend that I hold dear. And when the fog rises with the dew I will not stop in my pursuit, for lonely and fear stay on the roam, but here in my heart you always have a home.
(Your Gift Will Make Room For You ) I Bet people wonder what makes a room light up when you walk in.....If they only knew that your light shines from the inside not the outside Stand your ground...you are a Queen let things come to you...I promise your success is right around the corner
After you've finished here, you may like to hear this folk-carol on myspace... Poem 230 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (see my blog for details): CHRISTMAS SUNG SIMPLY
As gospellers have said, Beneath signalling skies, On land dusty to tread, A trough in a stable Was the strawy first-bed Of a divine baby - The forgiving Godhead.
A season for new hope - There then and here now; The yuletide of goodwill - There then and here now.
In respect of this chance, Beneath bright or dark skies, Faith's the star that we glance Attending Christ's churches And trying to enhance, With singing and ritual, Our God-loving stance.
Hello Kelly Greetings from Dallas Firstly, I hope all is well with you and your work. Thank you for the friendship. I am a new artist spreading my work. My debut album came out in May. I personally touch base with everyone on my friend’s list, and I want to take this time and share my latest news. In my latest blog I posted the transcript of my recent interview with MUEN Magazine, which was featured in the October issue. It explains a lot more about who I am behind the music, if you are interested. There is a free mp3 download of a song I did called “Be Still” that can exclusively be downloaded from my iLike profile. Just click on any of the banner links on the right side of my main profile page to access my iTunes, Facebook, YouTube, iLike, official page etc. If you will, please add me at any site you are on, as I do different things on each site. I am also announcing that “Blush” and “Disclaimer”, two songs off my debut album “The Good Fight”, will soon be downloadable on Xbox live and PS3 Nation to play on Rock Band. i leave you now with my video for my version of “House of the Rising Sun”. Hope you enjoy it. If you dig my work, share it with a friend. I don’t care about fame or money, I am just one man who loves making music, and dedicates my life to sharing it with as many people as possible. Thank you again for your friendship and support. Best Wishes Gregory Ploy of Oracle
