one genre to be the next big thing. Then pops up Keri
Williamson with her band Keltrix, who are definatly not
playing by the rules. Flipping easily between folk, reggae
and good old fashioned indie rock. The Keltrix EP is an
interesting listen, anaptly showcases a band who are

Providing a fresh spiral of ecclectic folk rock, Keltrix are an energetic five-piece band who formed in March 2006. Famed for pumping the audience into a frenzy, Keltrix are lead by Keri, an eccentric yet enigmatic singer songwriter, defying the model of folk rock through an unsulleid and cool blend of harmonious explosion. Three years ago this fiesty fembot learnt guiter, developing a vast backlog of lyrics and melodies into the songs they deserved to be. Then came rhythm-maker Jake, the musical protege with a fusion of drum styles. To join the swell of sound, Sharon, a dance music producer and violinist who had previously worked with Keri on a blend of raw and dirty dance music, arrived with her years of experience playing the violin. Finally along came Nick with an easy brilliance on the bass followed swiftly by Duncan the ninja on electric guitar. Ta Da!
The aim is to strike a chord that appeals to all walks of life with a variety of soundscapes, eclectic, ancestral, contempory music and thought provoking lyrics; songs to dance to and songs to relate and relax to.
Keltrix have built up a fan base through festival performances at the likes of Strawberry Fair, Small World, Secret Garden Party and Sunrise Festival and online, Keri has also made regular apperences on Bbc radio Cambridgeshire, 105 fm and star fm. A uk tour is in the pipeline.

Pretty much. The bigger bits of the frame were from a pine table that someone threw in a skip some time in the late twentieth century and the fingerboard is one of the slats from a bed that some relatives of a friend of mine threw out in 2008.
