Sounds................
'The Keltrix sound is high-octane folk rock with strong acoustic,
percussive flavour. Keri's fiesty spirit shows throughout both
music and perfromance. They perform with a co-operation not
often seen in the rock music world. The bands songwriter,
Keri leads with husky vocals reminiscent of
Janis Joplin and a touch of Sandy Denny, is an independent
and thought provoking young woman.'
ANNE RYAN - MOVING TONE NEWS. MAY 2007.
'Keltrix - With their reputation for knowing how to get a party
started preceding them, the dancefloor is full from the onset
and soon enough there is jigging aplenty. Check out Keltrix!'
ART AND SOUL MAGAZINE. FEB 2008.
'Keltrix instantly injected the room with a uniquely magic
atmosphere. Singer Keri has an expert milky
warm voice. The 5 band members matched perfectly
their superb music with looks and talents that contributed
to making their act a uniquely festive and excellent one.'
SURFACE UNSIGNED FESTIVAL. 2008
'It has become standard for young bands to try to fit into
one genre to be the next big thing. Then pops up Keri with her band Keltrix, who are definatly not
playing by the rules. Flipping easily between folk, reggae
and good old fashioned indie rock. The Keltrix EP is an
interesting listen, anaptly showcases a band who are
not afraid to be different. TOM ADAMS - MOVING TONE
NEWS. 2008
..
Providing a fresh spiral of ecclectic folk rock, Keltrix are an energetic ever changing band famed for pumping the audience into a frenzy, Keltrix are lead by Keri, an eccentric yet enigmatic singer songwriter, defying the model of folk rock through an unsulleid and cool blend of harmonious explosion. The odd change of line up here and there aside; the focus of Keltrix remains the same...Say it with a song!
The aim is to strike a chord that appeals to all walks of life with a variety of soundscapes, ecclectic, ancestral, contempory music and thought provoking lyrics; songs to dance to and songs to relate and relax to.
Keltrix have built up a fan base through festival performances at the likes of Strawberry Fair, Small World, Knockengorroch, Secret Garden Party, Sunrise Festival and online, Keri has also made regular apperences on Bbc radio Cambridgeshire, 105 fm and star fm. Keltrix Have also been proud to support the likes of Mark Chadwick (Levellers), Shooglenifty, Inner Terrestials and Tarrentism and Keri can be found performing solo wherever her travels take her.
As you may or may not be aware SoundARC hold a charity gig every year at Club 85 in Hitchin in aid of the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, and this year we are going to try something a little different from previous years.
This year we are going to take over the club and host 37 acts in one weekend putting full bands upstairs and acoustic acts downstairs in an event that we are calling ARCfest!
It all starts on Friday 4th December at 7pm and then continues on through Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th from 12pm-11pm
As well as raising money for the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth, ARCfest will showcase all the different genres of bands that we at SoundARC have come across over the last 4 and a half years. Over this weekend a lot of the acts that you will see don’t get a chance to play a great local venue like Club 85, So as well as hearing new music you will see all manors of genres and styles from acoustic - Metal - Indie - Rock - Punk - Electro - Ska - Funk - Hip Hop/Rap - Alternative - Rhythm & Blues - Reggae - Grunge and loads more that I cant remember!

Pretty much. The bigger bits of the frame were from a pine table that someone threw in a skip some time in the late twentieth century and the fingerboard is one of the slats from a bed that some relatives of a friend of mine threw out in 2008. The heads from the same bed. Good to hear you at the Barge Inn.
UNiTY & DEViSiON - the punkfolk/ska four-piece from London serving up bitter-sweet lyrics with music that's raw, edgy and ringing with heartfelt harmonies..we've been looking forward to putting these guys on since we met at Glasto last year..absolutely not to be missed!!! www. myspace. com/unityanddevision
