KEN L, born and raised in the city of WEST COVINA, CALIFORNIA, is a natural performer, who fits into any situation that comes his way. Since adolescence, KEN L has performed in many talent showcases, gaining fans as he furthered his craft in Music, Dancing, and Acting. But It was a local radio station’s television commercial that actually established and bought KEN L, to the forefront of establishing his career.
Power 106FM, a radio station that operates in the of Los Angeles Metro area, had an open call for their latest commercial featuring local dancers. KEN L jumped at the opportunity, and was eventually booked and featured in his first commercial.
KEN L went on to perform as a backup dancer for various artists throughout the Los Angeles area before eventually finding an agent to represent his talent. It wasn’t long before KEN L began to book commercials and guest starring roles on Television shows such as CHICAGO HOPE, IN THE HOUSE with LL COOL J, and SMART GUY. But KEN L wanted more, so he picked up his writing utensil and began writing. It was then he formed a RAP GROUP called “WESCOVE ADDICTZ” formerly known as “626” with Michael Mandac aka “8 DUBB”.
The Duo successful completed an album entitled “LIFE IN THE FAST LANE” which was released independently through out their city of West Covina, California and surrounding areas gaining moderate sales at local mom and pop stores and businesses. While still pushing for success in music industry an opportunity presented in the form of an audition, for a SPIN-OFF television show of “MOESHA” starring R&B sensation BRANDY, entitled “THE PARKERS” starring COUNTESS VAUGHN and comedian MO’NIQUE. The Show was a “HIT” and established KEN L as a certifiable talent in the entertainment industry.
THE PARKERS brought KEN L’s songwriting ability to the forefront of the show by writing various songs for the featured group “FREESTYLE UNITY” which consisted of the very talented COUNTESS VAUGHN (KIM) and the beautiful JENNA VON OY (STEVIE). THE PARKERS filmed 110 episodes, and is now seen in various international markets. The cast has received numerous awards and nominations ranging from “BEST CAST IN A COMEDY SERIES” from the NAACP to “BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR” by THE KING DAY FOUNDATION.
Furthering his music career, KEN L has established DUB C ENT, an entertainment company focusing on Independent Music Distribution and Artist Development. “I’ve traveled so many places in such a short span of time. I’m amazed how diverse my mind has become over the years. People struggle all around the world, yet music gives them HOPE, and a VOICE to be recognized. I am that voice, and by helping others, WE, SHALL BE THAT VOICE.”
KEN L, has finally comprised a music project that is sure to change how people view and appreciate GOOD MUSIC and LYRICAL CONTENT. The album is entitled “EXPOSED” introducing and bringing light, to this life of “HOLLYWOOD” that has lead him thus far.
