Kevin Sparkman is a freelance drummer residing in Nashville, TN. Currently, Kevin offers a limited schedule for drum set and percussion performance services to anyone from independent to national artists, singer/songwriters, and bands/groups looking to fulfill a variety of needs local or nationwide.
Kevin received his B.M. Performance/Commercial Percussion degree from the Belmont University School of Music in December 2002. While attending Belmont, Kevin gained valuable experience playing for classmate and now country music star Julie Roberts. Notably he also performed in Belmont University's Jazz Small Group I directed by Chester Thompson as well as with other on-campus groups and performance/recording opportunities.
Upon graduation Kevin has gained extensive experience in the music industry both on and off the stage. Getting his first taste of the biz, Kevin discovered a hidden talent and a love for writing while holding an internship at Salem Publishing, Inc. known for producing publications such as CCM Magazine and crosswalk.com. Published works includes cd & book reviews, interviews, and special features on well known Christian artists, authors, and figures that have appeared in Radio & Records, CCM Magazine, Sevenball Magazine and grassrootsmusic.com.
From November 2003 to New Years 2005, Kevin logged countless miles traveling as a member of Cross Driven Records artists Tinman Jones. A highly touted independent band based from southern Arkansas, Tinman Jones went national with their debut label release Poetic in the summer of 2003. A string of Top-20 Christian rock radio hits propelled a more than 150-date touring schedule in both 03 and 04 that featured appearances with ShoutFest 03: featuring Tait, Skillet, Tree 63, ZOEgirl and also shared the stage with Pillar, KJ-52, Sanctus Real, Detour 180, The Elms, Glenn Kaiser, Overflow among others.
In early 2005, Kevin toured as drummer with Spring Hill Worship artist Carl Cartee. In May of that year, he left full-time touring to pursue a career on the other side of the music industry. A natural fit, Kevin joined forces with Verge Artist Agency, a booking company that also represented artists Tinman Jones and Cartee. In July 2006, Kevin moved into the role of GM/Owner of Exit 3 Entertainment, a new booking and management agency based in Franklin, TN. In addition, he also became the GM at hip hop label Beatmart Recordings later that year.
Taking a break from a full-time music industry job, Kevin pursued the call to become Evangelism Coordinator for McKendree UMC Church in downtown Nashville. McKendree also sponsors New Wine Fellowship Nashville - a new and vibrant extension that welcomes a more modern worship experience coupled with Biblically based teaching and outreach. The Loft Nashville is just one of the many projects and visions Kevin has for bringing this historic church back to where a thriving Christian community cares for the city of Nashville and its thousands of residents.

This is at the World Famous - House of Guitars in Rochester, NY. Basically, whenever someone famous plays a show in the area, they go to the House of Guitars - take an instrument, amp, etc. - and then sign an autograph for the store and take the stuff to play with at the show. It was really cool!
I some how stumbled upon your YouTube video "we're working on it". AMAZING!!! I especially like the ninja moves at the end. Have you taken acting classes before?
Hey Kevin-thanks SO MUCH for coming tonight! It meant a lot to me. So thankful to have your support and it was great to see the whole Belmont crew! Hope to see you again soon! Blessings to you my friend!
