Left Field is not your everyday sports film, although it has enough competition, trash-talking, heroes, and villains to fill one. It is an all-access pass into the lives of an eclectic group of over-aged adolescents brought together through a grade-school game: kickball. It is the story of what binds this diverse community together. It is a journey into the psyches of talented but often conflicted minds. It is a multi-character mosaic exploring identity, ritual and social structure.
Most importantly, though, it is an entertaining, funny and humanistic portrait of a community that invites audiences to challenge preconceived
notions about adulthood, values and one's place in the world.
