Some have said Neil Young, some have said there is a Green Day influence. I've heard other things too. I dont know. Oh, and a couple people told me there is a Foo Fighters connection. One guy said I sound like the dude from Face to Face.
"According to Kieran Grogan, there are still songs to write.
Amidst a popular culture so often inflated by bling when it comes to music, Kieran remains true to both the song and the album.
Beginning in the late 90's, Kieran began his songwriting career as he wrote and played bass for High-Density and the Riverside All-Stars, releasing a full length album with each. While attending college at UW-Madison, Kieran played bass with Madison acts Radio Static, Moziac, and guitar with Rick Lambourgini, while his acoustic songwriting began to sore.
Kieran's solo career could date back to anytime, whether around a campfire or on the front porch of a friend's house, but his skills were first truly honed at open mics at UW-Madison's Rathskellar and Lake Mendota Terrace. In his latter days in Madison, Kieran formed a group, Kieran and the Plague, which played and performed Kieran's material to coffee shop and bar crowds, while releasing Kieran's debut "solo" album, Kieran and the Plague's "Damn Nation" (2007).
Again based out of Appleton, WI, Kieran is focused as ever on writing and performing quality songs. With his 2009 release "Favorite Thing In Town," Kieran hopes to play shows far and wide, or as far as he can get without an automobile. Check him out live, check him out on record, or just leave a message here on myspace--he'll get back to you. Thanks for reading."
