Killer Horns

Bio:

The Killer Horns are a London-based three-piece freelance horn section. Ryan Jacob (trumpet, flugelhorn), Mike Lesirge (saxophones, flute, clarinet) and Alan Hardiman (trombones) have worked together for many years gigging, recording and touring with some of the UK’s top artists. All three are extremely experienced performers, composers and arrangers. Together, they are able to work quickly and efficiently to produce high quality, powerful and catchy horn lines, and deliver professional, high-energy performances - whatever the context or style of music. As a result, the Killer Horns have worked with top artists and producers in the genres of pop, rock, latin, funk, soul, jazz, reggae, dance and hip-hop .

The Killer Horns currently play for legendary soul singer Alice Russell; Ninja Tune producer Bonobo; up-and-coming soul singer Zarif; soul/R&B artist and producer Matti Roots; and TM Juke & The Jack Baker Trio. As well as recording and arranging for Alice Russell’s latest album "Pot of Gold" and Zarif’s debut “Box of Secrets”, the section’s recent projects have included recording for Bonobo’s forthcoming album; recording for phenomenal new Ninja Tune artist Andreya Triana’s debut album; touring and headlining the Big Chill and Loop Festivals with Tru Thoughts artists TM Juke & The Jack Baker Trio; and recording for Craig David’s latest hit single "Hot Stuff".

Other collective session and live credits include: Kim Wilde, The Who, Estelle, Jamie Cullum, McFly, Mika, Jamie Woon, Ziggy Marley, Bat For Lashes, Lady Lykez, The Blockheads, The Four Tops, The Cinematic Orchestra, Kinny, David McAlmont, Shena, Aynzli, The Heritage Orchestra, Lynval Golding (The Specials), Amy Pearson, Vula (from Basement Jaxx), Odyssey, Brenda Edwards, Tha 4orce, The Ronnie Scott Big Band, Katrina and the Waves, Pama International, Lucky Soul and The Glenn Miller Orchestra. TV and Radio work has included: Later With Jools Holland, Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide on BBC Radio 1, The X Factor, CDUK, The Mark Lamarr Show on BBC Radio 2, Record of the Year, Smash Hits Poll Winners, Grease is The Word, 'Album De La Semaine' on Canal Plus, and the Paul O'Grady Show. The section have worked with producers Fraser T. Smith (Plan B., Craig David), Tommy D (Kylie Minogue, Corinne Bailey Rae), Full Phatt Productions (Rihanna, Janet Jackson, Mutya Buena), Dave Brant (Liberty X), Tim Baxter (Amy Pearson, Katherine McPhee), Ben Dubuisson (Joseph Malik, Alison Crockett, High Noon Records) and John Hendicott (Jamie Woon).
