Underground Resistance
Killer Robot was started in July 2006 at Fiction in Cape Town. Having already played on the same bill at various gigs around Cape Town, techno stalwart Ivan and Bruno Morphet, an established dj on the underground circuit, kicked off a night that would address the gap in the market for techno, electro, minimal and dub techno sounds. Upstart club Fiction provided the ideal stage for the endeavour with its forward thinking music policy and maverick attitude. The name Killer Robot was conceived both as tie in with Fiction’s b-movie promotional iconography, and a perfect description of the music that would come to define the night. Ivan and Bruno were joined by Fiction resident AK47, already a well known name in discerning circles for his breaks and electro sets. Since then Killer Robot has risen to become the premier night in Cape Town for electronic music and has become a destination for many its finest exponents from around the world, as well as a pilgrimage for like minded artists from South Africa. Artists from Kompakt to Ghostly International have played to packed dancefloors in its intimate surroundings, and as 2007 gathers momentum, the sonic conquest has only just begun...

I just read the blurb on Killer Robot - wasn't AK47 one of the founders of Killer Robot, not someone who joined in later? Maybe I'm misreading the way it's written but that's what it sounds like
