DNA, Dana Coppafeel, Clark Beezy, DJ1L, Animas, Reakt Twenty, A-Biz...and all the other freaks in The Freak Kingdom
.
KingHellBastard, its hard to put your finger on it but, you know it when you see it/hear it/feel it. So fuck any further explanation--because that runs counter to the point here--it is what it is, ya know. Its something heartfelt but uncomfortable, flirting with chaos. Its something to remind you that not everything has been handed over to the lesser angels of our human nature and that, somewhere and somehow, a more noble impulse still moves people to live out loud.
Choke on it, motherfuckers.
Dana Coppafeel has been around. There is a reason for this. Hip-Hop is in his very bones. Without even opening his mouth one can already sense the culture coming out his pores. However, once he opens his mouth, it is something not soon forgotten. Possessor of a truly unique voice and a singular style, Dana Coppa's lyrics float like a fever dream from the nonsensical and witty to the heartfelt and conscientious. With roots stretching back to some of the Midwest's earliest underground groups, Dana Coppa continues to tirelessly represent the real.
Clark Beez aka Shemp is an MC's emcee. Think Redman, think Tash from Alkaholiks, think Too Short. With a style heavy on metaphors and punchlines it would be easy to overlook the craftsmanship of his rhymes, but a closer examination reveals something much more complex. A surefire party starter on stage, when Clark Beez tells a crowd to put their hands up they listen. A veteran DJ as well, Clark Beez has kept the good times rolling for a decade plus.
DNA is an anomaly. Looking more like an out-of-work lumberjack than a rapper, any doubts concerning his validity quickly disappear the second people hear him. With a passionate and booming delivery, DNA commands attention with the lyrical ferocity and populist zeal of a preacher pounding pulpits, drunk on whiskey and indignation. Nimble cadences and intricate wordplay convey a deep love of language and its powers to persuade and incite. With a literary and spoken-word background, DNA combines equal parts entertainment and conviction.
DJ1L holds it down. A long-time DJ and promoter, 1L is the calm eye of KingHellBastard's hurricane. Always ready with a well-placed scratch or drop, 1L adds rhythmic flourishes to the bombast and keeps the show rolling with a steady hand. With an encyclopedic knowledge of Hip-Hop representing decades in the culture, 1L weaves subtle nods to the past into the musical present of KHB. A throwback of sorts, he knows that the job of a DJ in a crew is to accent the performance, not take it over. But don't get it twisted, kid has got skills.

Sounds Like
Nothing you've ever heard before. Unless you've heard us before.
We're KingHellBastard. I know it doesn't sound like it, but we make hip-hop. We're really fucking good at it too. But besides that...
We will drink all your booze and sleep on your floors...sometimes your lawn. We will make too much noise in your neighborhood and it will strain your relationship with your neighbors and significantly harm your good-standing in the community. We will drag you and your friends to shady parts of town in search of dive bars that serve Pabst and strip clubs with pregnant and/or one-legged performers. We will bring our own fireworks thank you very much. We will cause a scene at any Wal-Mart you take us to, so pretend you dont know us until we're safely in the parking lot. We--although we all know who this is, so I--will take a gigantic shit in your bathroom right before we leave town and while your girlfriend is waiting to use the bathroom to get ready for work. We will need two clean towels and a bottle of honey (preferably bear-shaped) before showtime. We will be bumming cigarettes like crackheads once it strikes midnight. We--perhaps not all of us, but someone--will dance like a jackass at some point and the people who aren't really into hip-hop will love it. We will probably lose someone for a portion of time during the evening so if you see him let us know, or give him a ride someplace where he wont be arrested. We will ride your skateboard, wagon, tricycle, little-girls bike or big wheel down the biggest hill around. We will beat you at pool, or failing that, with the pool cue. We will listen patiently while the local knuckleheads who wear air-brushed 2pac shirts ramble on endlessly about their big plans and how dope their friend is. We will leave with their girlfriends, and even if we don't, it was worth the punch in the face.
We're KingHellBastard. We make hip-hop. We'll be seeing you.

is there any way we could collabo? i'm interested in working with milwaukee artists who actually care about hiphop. i've been a turntablist/dj for about 5 years now and a producer for 3ish. i'm only 18, but i believe the music i make is pretty solid.
