Kjempetjukk Bussjåfør, aka Christian Vestbø, makes broken dance music: fast, seemingly random beats, harsh ethereal soundscapes and drum&bass-like bass lines.
I've been making various forms of electronic music since the early nineties, and has always been into sound and beats as opposed to melody. When I had to sell my collection of analogue synths to pay the rent around the same time as the Internet became a household word, I turned on my computer and turned my attention to the veritable ghetto of sound generators that was shareware, and spent the next years online in the company of other sound-nerds.
I DJ as Kjempetjukk DJ, has the breakcore club night Raske Rytmer with DJ Woo, the reagae/dub/dubstep club night Bawa with DJ Tork and BJ Bamsefar, and run Healthy Boy Records.
In 2004 I started playing live as Kjempetjukk Bussjåfør, and I'm currently re-working my live sets into an album that will be released on Healthy Boy when it's done.
