Smoking and joking, thinking and drinking. Partying and bullshitting. As well as some music stuff. You know the ordinary extra standard blah blah blah blah blah....

But I have been told I sound like Q-tip/A Tribe Called Quest, Mos Def, Blackstar, & 95-97’s finest underground, un-sulturated hip hop.
" A very long, long, long time ago there were various collectives of people in different cities, states, and regions who had never met one another but shared a sense of community. The people were you and I. And the community was Hip Hop.
It was a time of discovery and a unique shaping of theories, idealogies, and soundscapes. There were general sets of rules all based around four solid principles:
It was a trying time for the music and culture. Hip Hop was often looked upon as a fad to most outsiders and in major markets you had to wait until after hours to hear the music and it's culture in any form. Shows were few and far inbetween and often that's where crews and alliances would be forged. In a cipher or around a pair of Techniq 1200s and a microphone." (END ROBOT INVASION INTRO)
I've seen a lot and done a few. Made the curve and had some miscues but the bottom line, through and through is... life is like highschool.

The friend I was going to visit with is having problems with her baby-daddy (I'm not sure I'm capable of pulling that word off :-/)...anyway, her son's father is trying to get custody. It sucks, I know, but I might still try to make it down there at some point. I still want to visit.

Are you gonna be in LA for the Pete Rock/Premier event? I might go. Sans Pauly though. Lemme know! My girl Quiana just moved from Philly to Studio City.
I'll have Elowen with me but my friend I am visiting with is planning a night out where her mom will watch all the kids. We could hook up then or if you feel like hanging out with a 4 yr old, we could get coffee or something anytime.
