BIO ---- ]
I am a dreamer ... on a wild, whimsical ride.
I am a firm believer in pursuing goals- no matter how preposterous, fantastical, and idealized they may be. I thrive off living this precarious existence, somewhere between sheer stupidity and perpetual sublimity.
Playing music is like staring into the ocean or sitting with the moon every night. There is comfort to be found in its mystery, wonder in its simplicity, magic in its being, and love at its core.
I use my voice to paint pictures. Synthesizers, samplers, and guitars are my primary colors. I dabble in water-color when I use delays and reverbs. Sometimes I paint over myself with loops and samples, and my dumbek and djembes sometimes help me keep things from drifting into outer space. But if they do ... that's ok. I like the feeling of space, and silence.
I am in love with lineages in music - satie | debussy | ravel | glass | eno | aphex twin | radiohead | boards of canada | nusrat fateh ali khan | jeff buckley | nina simone | sigur ros
I am in love with the possibilities of our time - modern technology has enabled me to write|record|promote everything I do, on my own. And when it reaches ears ... I know it was through eons of hard work, wishful thinking, and intense struggle. Not through pre-packaging into palatable formats to meet the current tastes of our temperamental pop-music culture.
In my humblest of hearts, I aim to continue making the music that is in my soul; to write and record the songs that will live after me. If I am blessed with the opportunity to play to people and to share my music on a full-time basis ... I will feel less like society has succumbed to the hegemony of bigMONEYpopCULTURE, and more hopeful for the countless others who struggle under the dim light of uncompromising self-expression.

a sonogram, backaway, and igloo are my favorite tracks. you have a lot of great material. i'll make a contribution to help you out with your tour as soon as i can. keep it up, man!
I'm really liking Mandala right now. Post Mortem and All Energy is One are some really lovely, lush tracks. Reminds me of the Sea and Cake a bit... kind of tropical. A good buy indeed.
